Imagination land Part 1

Once there was a land called imagination land. Imagination land was a place where all of the things from people's imaginations went to stay. But there were two sides of this land one half had all of the good imaginary things and the other half had all of the bad imaginary things on it.

There is this boy his name is Timmy. He has a very active imagination. Timmy says that there is a land called imagination land. He says that he goes to imagination land in his spare time and he see’s all his favourite characters he could ever imagine. Since I started using my imagination I started seeing this land, It is amazing, I never thought it was possible to travel through different dimensions to new lands but now I know its true.

I’ve been visiting this land for a couple of months now and it seems the bad guys are breaking through the imagination gate. This hasn't happened in a couple thousand years now. “ATTENTION ALL OF MY FELLOW GOOD GUYS, WE ARE ABOUT TO BE ATTACKED BY THE BAD GUYS SO GET IN BATTLE POSITIONS NOW PLEASE”

“Humpty are we going to be okay” I asked “hopefully” Humpty Dumpty replied. A few hours later. “Oh no the gates almost broken” Spongebob cried.

Optimist yachting reflection

Reflection for

Something I was pleased with was how most people participated in yachting and kayaking because its a great opportunity for us to get out on the yacht.

I really enjoyed learning how keep the yacht afloat because if the yacht was right about to tip we would know how to get it back to normal.

Something I found hard was walking across the kayaks because the boats would always move in and out

Something that made me think was that we have to put our right hand on the blue tape because if we put our left hand on the blue tape I would be holding the paddle upside down.

Something I want to get better at is steering that yacht in the right direction.

I can find where the wind is coming from then I can tack towards the right buoy

My next goal is to sail a yacht on my own

Report on a made up creature

Introduction:

This Creature is called a Dird (Dog mixed with a bird)

The scientific name is Dogius birdous. The Dird can fly.

It was accidentally introduced from Russia.

Description

It has the head of a dog and the body of a bird.

The Dird grows to about 30cm long and 10cm high. It weighs about 2 Kilos. It has wings like a bird and It also has the sharp teeth of a dog

Habitat:

They live on steward island below NZ

It lives in the trees and it often hides from humans and predators

Behaviour:

It plays dead around predators and when the predators are gone the dird flies off. When it sleeps it hangs upside down on a branch.

Diet:

The dirds main prey is rabbits and dog food. The Dird finds food by flying to houses in the country with an orchard and a dog  

Interesting facts:

The Dird can fly about 200 Miles without stopping. It Barks and tweets at the same time. There are 5 types of Dird. There is the ocean Dird, the bush Dird, the grassland Dird, the cave Dird and the Mystery Dird that no one knows what it looks like and how it behaves

Conclusion:

In conclusion The Dird is an amazing creature it is completely harmless, We don’t know about the Mystery Dird. Watch out for any suspicious looking birds.

Earthquake

 We saw the pool water swaying like a washing machine out of control and then Suddenly we felt a mighty shake...

 My brothers and I were chilling on the couch and our parents were in the other room glued to the TV. We saw the pool water swaying like a washing machine out of control and then we felt a mighty shake. it sounded like a lion roaring as loud as it could. Then my mum zoomed into the room and shouted “get under the table now”. We flew under the table and we grappled the legs tightly. It was terrifying. The world was shaking like never before. I could hear glasses smashing. I could see pictures falling off shelves . We were screaming as the walls started caving in. The ground was getting more unstable by the minute. Then a fire started in the kitchen, from our dinner burning to a crisp. there was no way out of the rubble. The trembling would not stop. “Boys are you ok” a faint voice asked, “yes” we replied. We heard some rubble tumbling out of the way. Then we saw the light, It was Mum and Dad, “Thank god you're alright I was worried sick” Mum said thankfully. “ So that's what the sun looks like” I replied. We’re alive for now. “Lets hope this doesn't happen again”

My Journey to the Trash Vortex

What up I’m Skids the plastic bag and this Is my incredible journey to the TRASH VORTEX.

I started out as a clean plastic bag in a nice house. Ok who pooped themself OH The BABY.

Eww I hate those things. There so sloppy and runny. Oh no you didn’t just put me in that trash can. HEY get me out of here. Thats why they call me skids. Yay it’s travel time. Wait this is a dump truck. That means i’m going to the DUMP. Hey look over there. That could be a big enough hole for Me to fit through. Yay I’M FREE. OH NO a gust of wind AHHHHHHHH. Well it is quite relaxing. Don’t stop wind I’m not ready to come down. Well here I am in the ocean floating away. Well I have time to sing a sad song. I am so lonely, I have nobody, I am on my own. What is that. Is that my friend bobby the chip packet. HEY BOBBY IS  THAT YOU MAN. “YEA IT IS ME.” Bobby replied. I swam over to him “hey long time no see” I chattered. “Wow what is that skids” “I think  its a Trash Vortex. “lets see if there is some food” “Bobby you do not want to see this” “ what what is it” “ some of your brothers are dead”.  “Yep i’m next to die” Bobby says sadly. “ I should just get it over with now” “ good bye cruel world” Bobby stabs himself in the heart with a pin. “Why oh why did you have to die now” I cry out to heaven.

Thats how I got to the trash vortex

Research on the Napier Earthquake

• Location: Hawke’s Bay
• Date occured (NZ Summer Time): Tuesday, 3 February 1931 at 10:47 am
• Epicentre: 39.3°S, 177.0°E
• Focal Depth: 20 km
• Maximum Intensity: MM 10
• Magnitudes: MW 7.4 - 7.6, MS 7.8
• Casualties: 256 killed, thousands injured

The Hawke’s Bay earthquake (also known as the Napier Earthquake) is recorded as having caused the largest loss of life and most extensive damage of any quake in New Zealand’s history. The effects of the earthquake were greatest in the towns of Napier and Hastings, but other towns in the Hawke’s Bay also suffered major damage. The maximum intensity reached was MM 10, with extensive fissuring, slumping and landslides occurring over much of Hawke’s Bay. The official death toll was 256 and 593 people sustained serious injuries that required hospitalisation. The earthquake was followed by fires in the business areas of both Napier and Hastings that became uncontrollable as water pressure dwindled because of broken water mains. The Ahuriri Lagoon in Napier was raised drastically in the earthquake, changing the coastline significantly and leaving hundreds of fish and horse mussels exposed on dry land.

The earthquake was felt throughout most of New Zealand except for areas in the far south and the far north. It also deformed the surface of the land in the surrounding area, pushing up a long dome running northeast-southwest. The dome was 17 km wide and over 90 km long, and extended from the northeast of the Mohaka River mouth to south west of Hastings. The ground was raised by up to 2.7 m near the mouth of the Aropaoanui River, while at Hastings it sank by up to one metre. Along the dome created by the earthquake, some rock folded under the pressure, while at the south-western end about 15 km of rock was broken by surface faulting. Today, only 3 km of this fault trace remains visible 1.

Following the main shock, the Hawke’s Bay Province experienced many scattered aftershocks, some of them very large. The largest had a magnitude MS 7.3, and it struck the already devastated region 10 days later, at 1:27 pm (NZ Summer Time) on Friday, 13 February. Its epicentre was ~50 km from that of the initial quake, offshore and to the east. It was felt widely from Hamilton to Christchurch, and was described by some inland communities as even more violent than the 3 February shock.

Production Reflection

On Friday may it was room 20s turn to do an assembly item.

We did a Play about Gondwanaland and I was a Maori person.

I thought the best part was poking the moa off the stage.

Because it made everyone laugh.

Some interesting things I learnt was the Maori was the first humans on NZ.

I found learning my line challenging because I had to learn it in one day.

Next time I do a production I would like to be better at Learning my lines and using my props.

If I could change one thing about the production I would have a Backdrop

Lost in the bush Part 1

As we run further away from the track, Trying to get away from whatever it was that was chasing us. (pant pant) we were sprinting as hard as we could...

“Okay everyone stick to the path and don’t get lost” Said Mr ford.

“we won’t” The class replied

And that's exactly what Harrison and I did, “where is everyone” I asked Harry,

“don’t know They must have gone off the track.” Harry replied

as we walked further into the bush It got darker. it was gloomy and shadows began moving behind trees as if something sinister was about to happen Then all of a sudden I heard a noise

“What was that” I whispered

“Who knows” HArry said

“RAWR!!!” A creature roared

“aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh” WE screamed

As we run further away from the track, Trying to get away from whatever it was that was chasing us. (pant pant) we were sprinting as hard as we could.

We came to an Old shack. It had Vines and cobwebs all over it. the door was closed and it had holes in it. We had no place to hide, So we hid in the shack, It was worse in their because there were giant  spiders and vampire bats. We couldn't stay in that hellhole.

“Okay at least we got away from that creature” I

“yea, Thats a releve”

Its not easy being Ron Weasley mini story

Its not easy being Ron Weasley trying to stop bad people like Voldemort taking over the wizard world. Traveling from time to time and place to place. Running away from bad guys that want to kill me.  I have to do all this with my dearest friend Harry Potter.

It all started when Harry’s Mum (Lily) and Dad (James) died from Voldemort. They were having a nice peaceful night and then BOOM!

The smash

SMASH “AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!” As the glass sliced  through my leg. If only I wasn’t so dumb.

It all started on the night of the big BBQ and I was only 3 years old, Me and my cousin were playing outside and then I thought I was cool and started kicking the top part of a door where it was glass. I kicked it three times and then SMASH “AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH” As the glass sliced through my leg. If only I wasn’t so dumb. I screamed so much. The blood shot out as fast as the speed of light. So my mum rushed outside and she boosted me to the car and drove to the doctors. The doctors zoomed me to the emergency room and chucked me on the bed. My heart nearly jumped out of my chest. The got butterfly stitches. They sowed my leg back together. Slowly but surely. I had 8 stitches in my leg. The next day I was so sore.

Method:

Step 1: Smash the computer with the mallet and grab the memory card out.
Step 2: Throw the memory card in the cauldron.
Step 3: Pour the water in.
Step 4: Place your DNA in the cauldron.
Step 5: Stir clockwise ten times.
Step 6: Pour into glass bottle.
Step 7: Shake for three minutes.
Step 8: Drink and say the game you want to go to.

Jetpack Guy: All right kids there's nothing to be afraid of and who’s that furry thing?

Muffle Puffle: Hey you better watch your language mister I’m a puffle

Jack: Sorry about that Jetpack Dude...

Jetpack Guy: That’s jetpack guy  thank you very much, now what are we waiting for lets get out of this place that’s...  not for penguins.

Scene Nine

Reader: Back at Herbert's lair

Herbert: Yes now that my bomb is ready I can blow the whole Club Penguin up

Director: Not if I stop you, You're under arrest for trying to destroy Club Penguin.

Herbert: Oops I’ve already pressed the button to blow up Club Penguin.

Reader: Nek minute... BOOOM

Scene ten

Reader: Club Penguin is gone but luckily everyone escaped.

Mum: Wait where are the kids?

Dad: Oh no! They didn’t get out of the explosion.

Mum: (Sobbing) Lets hope that we have two more kids.

Reader: Jetpack Guy safely teleports them back to the E.P.F Command room.

Jet pack guy: Here they are chief...

Jack: Holey moley, what happened here?

Bluey: I don’t know but it seems bad.

Jetpack guy: CHIEF CHIEF WHERE ARE YOU?

Director: I’m right here no need to worry.

Bluey: Eww yuck I hate roast fish

Mum: I thought you loved it


Scene two:

Reader: Meanwhile at an underground cave were evil and polar bear lived. His name is Herbert. He is making an evil plan to destroy Club Penguin.

Herbert: Those penguins have so much fun while Me and Klutzy stay bored down here in this filthy old cave.

Klutzy: I hate this cave, I want to be a penguin too.

Herbert: No because if you were a penguin that means I would be lonely and I would have no one to keep me occupied

Scene three.

Reader: Back at club penguin were Jack and Bluey were fighting about who broke the glass cup when their parents were out.

Bluey: I didn’t break it


Jack: did so

Mum: Now go to bed


Scene four

Reader: Back in Herbert's cave

Herbert: aha I know what I’ll do, when the two penguins and their miserable puffles are asleep I’ll teleport them to a very hot desert, mo ha ha ha ha.


Clutzy: Yay now they will be gone for good

Herbert: Oh be quiet you, did I say you could talk

Scene five
Reader: When the penguins and the puffles woke up they were quite confused They were in a desert

Jack: What happened here?

Bluey: Where's mum and dad?

Jack Herbert must of done this.

Bluey: Well doyee he’s the only one in club penguin that has a teleporter.

Jack: Really I thought there was more than one penguin I mean polar bear.

Bluey: We need to get mum and dad back before herbert does something really bad to them.

Jack: Now the animal I hate the most is a polar bear.

Scene six

Reader: now that Herbert has succeeded his plan he can take over Club Penguin.

Herbert: HA HA HA my plan has succeeded now I can take over the E.P.F command station.

Klutzy: Click Click yahoo




Scene seven:

Reader: Jack and Bluey are trying to figure out a plan to escape

Bluey: Well there must be pieces of scrap metal around here that we can use to make a portal back to Club Penguin.

Jack: yes lets look

Muffle Puffle: Hey look over there

Jack and Bluey: You can talk (In a shocked voice)

Muffle puffle: Did you not know oh wait I was talking behind your back

Bluey: Wait I’m an E.P.F agent I have my phone here, I’ll call the director.

Jack: Okay we'll call him                                                                                                                                

Bluey: Hello, Director is that you, okay here's the thing Herbert has trapped us in a steaming hot desert and there's animals everywhere.

Muffle Puffle: Well at least its food

Jack: yeah lets get some

Scene Seven:

Reader: In the EPF meeting room. The director is talking to jet pack guy

Director: Ok I need you to get teleported to the desert and then I need you to find Bluey and Jack.

Jet pack guy: Sure can do Boss.

Reader: Will Jet pack guy save Jack and Bluey
